Biography
Before now
Marco Buttu was born in Nuoro, Italy. Since 2005 to 2008 he worked as a researcher for University of Cagliari, for the DEIS (Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Automatics) of University of Bologna and for the IS (Integrated Systems Centre) of the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland), mostly in the field of Network on Chip and Embedded Systems.
He received his B.S. degree (summa cum laude) in Electronics Engineering from the University of Cagliari in 2007, specializing in VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) systems design.
Currently
Since 2008 he is working for the INAF (National Institute for Astrophysics) as a Software Engineer, in Cagliari and Bologna (Italy).
He is founder member of IdonApple Software Factory, a young and dynamic team of engineers and programmers (mainly specialized in new web technologies), located in Gavoi (Italy).
Photography
His passion for photography really bloomed in Switzerland in 2007, when he bought his first digital SLR. Ever since then he has fallen in love with photography and trekking. His specialty is nature photography and he finds his subject matter mostly walking into the wild heart of Sardinia (Italy).
